Persimmon Linen-Cotton Cropped Verge Pants

The Verge Pants use the same relaxed, easy-fitting shape and stretchy waistband as my Sidewalk Pants, but instead of flaring towards the hem, the leg falls straight.

For this version, I’ve cropped the length by 12cm and added a deep 8cm hem. It gives weight to the bottom of the leg so the linen-cotton hangs heavily rather than kicking out at the ankle.

The inner seam is 63cm, so they’ll sit at a cropped length on taller and average-height women, while on shorter women they may work beautifully as a full-length straight-leg pant.

The fabric itself has more substance and texture than the linen-viscose I use for my Sidewalk Pants. It starts out with a slightly more robust, textured feel and will soften beautifully with washing and wear.
