What inspires my clothing labels

Growing up in the '80s and '90s, fashion simply didn’t cater to curves. As a very curvy teen, I couldn’t find a single pair of board shorts that fit.

After one too many tearful shopping trips, my mum finally said, “We’ll make our own.”

And we did.

The moment I tried on my first creation, I was hooked.

That feeling — of being able to dress in a way that felt flattering and true to me — was transformative. My confidence bloomed.

As a young adult, I began selling my designs, wanting to share that same feeling with other women. I had no formal training, just a deep love for making clothes that felt right. I hit the markets, connected with real women, and refined my styles by listening and learning...

My labels are now known for curve-loving cuts, serious comfort, ethical making, and beautiful prints and of course organic and natural fibres.

My mission is still the same:
To create clothing that empowers and flatters — pieces that light you up from the inside.

And to make it all through a supply chain that empowers too.

So glad you’re here.

What I’ve Learned After 2 Months of Business Mentoring

It’s not free. That was part of the barrier. I’m paying a chunky amount per month for mentoring.  But I’m so glad I took the leap.  I’m so glad I...

Good design is a sustainability practice

At Slow Fashion Australia, we believe sustainability isn’t just about the fabric. It’s about how a garment makes you feel—and how often you reach for it in your wardrobe. That’s...
