This isn't just a dress.
It's so much more meaningful than that.
Yes, the dress itself is thoughtfully designed. I spent a lot of time making sure it’s just right, from the wrap coverage to the stretchy, no fuss ties. But for me, it’s the artwork that gives this dress its true power.
The Self Care Print was born from a year when both Dalee and I experienced intense hormonal changes that affected every part of our lives—our health, our relationships, and our business. It was a steep learning curve—one that I know many women in mid-life can relate to.
We both burned out. We both struggled with significant mental health challenges. And, most importantly, we both had to step back, slow down, and truly, I mean truly, prioritize ourselves before anyone else.
For 40 years, we were taught that putting ourselves first was selfish. That putting others' needs before our own was the right thing to do. And honestly, it wasn’t easy to let go of those beliefs. But as hard as it was, it became clear we had no other choice.
Out of that time of deep self-care, we emerged with more wisdom, strength, inner knowing, and the power to truly be ourselves. We became more in tune with who we really were and what we truly needed.
And that’s why I believe this dress is so special. ✨
It’s not just about the fabric or the fit. It’s a reminder to challenge the destructive cultural narratives that tell us to burn ourselves out while trying to do it all. We’re often told that self-care is indulgent or selfish, but in truth, it’s essential.
When we take care of ourselves, that care ripples out into our communities and the earth. We are the earth, and the earth is us. We are all interconnected.
Self Care is Community Care is Earth Care.
This dress is a celebration of that truth. It’s a powerful reminder that taking the time to nurture ourselves isn’t just about us—it’s about everyone and everything we touch.
