If you’ve been following me you’ll know this jumpsuit had a bit of a shaky start. In fact, when I first launched them, I sold about 5…total.
Usually I don’t get too upset when new styles don’t sell very well, it’s the name of the game. I can’t get it right every time. But with the Jumpsuit, I REALLY believed in it. I’d been wearing it pretty much non-stop for a year since I designed it. My friends loved them. I knew it was a winner.
So when it didn’t sell, I was like, WTF? Then I cried. A lot.
But, it turns out, sometimes new things just take time to catch on. I’m so glad I didn’t give up on it.
I brought it with me when Dalee and I launched our collab art-to-wear range and much to my delight it started to sell!
Then we took it on the road and then it went really well.
By then the word must have spread, because when we launched our 2024 preorders it absolutely PUMPED! It was the best selling style and it sold out faster than any of the other styles.
I completely understand that buying a jumpsuit online is probably THE riskiest garment to buy without trying on first. It’s like buying a top and pants in one - and when you’re not a standard size (like me) the thought usually is “forget it.”
Thats why I am so grateful that you, my customer community, have bit by bit embraced this style and it has now become a staple piece.
I have plans for making adaptations down the road. But for now, I want to spread the good fit a bit more.
